Laureano Andrade Vicenty

     Laureano (left) is the founder of Chewing the Scientific fat was an honors student at Stony Brook University, and graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor's Degree of Biochemistry in 2016. He earned an Honors Associate's Degree in Math and Science from Rockland Community College in 2014. While at Stony Brook, Laureano conducted research in cell biology under Dr. Kevin Czaplinski of Stony Brook University, specifically investigating mechanisms of mRNA trafficking within neural mice cells.

Shelsie Delphin

     Shelsie is co-founder of Chewing the Scientific Fat. She always had a love for science, particularly sciences pertaining to the human body as well as public health. This has led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at Mercy College expected 2017. From there, she is to pursue a career as a physician assistant.

Quiana Lewis

     Quiana is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in bioscience at Stony Brook University, expected 2017. In the past, Quiana attended Farmingdale state college, where she garnered two years of experience as a lab technician assistant. Quiana has always had a love for science and correspondingly, she has both hopes and expectations of medical school.

Tuesday Love

     Tuesday graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She has been involved in volunteer service at the Hudson Valley Healthcare system since 2009 and has accumulated over 1100 hours of community service. Within the Stony Brook community, she volunteers with the Campus Community Emergency Response Team to provide additional assistance to Stony Brook's first responders and enhance safety at large campus events. Her dedication to voluntary service has inspired her to pursue a career in the medical field.

Sania Solon

     Sania is an undergraduate student attending Howard University and is expecting a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 2018, while also minoring in Chemistry. She plans on becoming a Primary Care Physician and Commissioned Corps Officer for the United States Public Health Service. Sania is proactive when it comes to service work and mentoring, as she was a medical volunteer for MEDLife, a student liaison and translator for Howard University’s Alternative Spring Break program in Haiti, currently serves as the Vice President for Howard’s Health Professions Society, and more. She believes in her self-potential and exceeds expectations.
